Carrying on from interviewing Edge Hill’s societies, today’s post is featuring the politics society.
For anyone looking to gain a greater understanding of the way the country is governed, or just want a place to share their enthusiasm about politics, the Politics Society is here! A community of like-minded people gather every other Tuesday at 12pm to discuss political events.
There are big plans in the works this year for this society, as they are hoping to have local politicians come in and speak at sessions. How exciting!
There’s no hidden payments or agendas in this society. Their aim is to be a safe space for those of all political views to interact with those who share their views, as well as those from other parties, while still remaining polite and respectful towards one another.
A room for the meetings has not yet been assigned, but stay on the lookout on the Student’s Union website.
